Neptune Lines, a member of Neptune Group, announced the arrival of the Neptune Pireas at the Port of Piraeus, marking a major milestone for the newly built vessel and a significant moment for the group at the landmark port where Neptune began its journey more than 50 years ago.
Following its delivery in China and its first European call at Neptune Group’s NLS Port-La-Nouvelle in southern France, the Neptune Pireas arrived at the port that inspired its name, linking the group’s history with its vision for the future, while also reflecting its long-standing commitment to innovation, operational excellence and the sustainable development of vehicle transportation logistics.
The Neptune Pireas is the first vessel of Neptune Group’s Genesis Project, which has now expanded to include six next-generation Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs).
The programme reflects the group’s continued investment in fleet modernisation, lower-emission transport solutions and the future of automotive logistics, further strengthening its integrated automotive logistics services ecosystem.
The Neptune Pireas was welcomed in Piraeus by employees from Neptune Group companies. Visitors had the opportunity to see first-hand the innovation, technology and operational excellence that characterise the first of the six vessels under the Genesis Project.
The visit highlighted Neptune Group’s long-standing people-centred philosophy, demonstrating that every investment in vessels and infrastructure is, above all, an investment in its people.
