Qu Shengbin, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA), participated in the conference entitled “Delivering the EU Ports Strategy: Requirements, Investment Needs & Funding Pathways,” held as part of the Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition.
During his presentation, he outlined the Port of Piraeus’ holistic development strategy, which is aimed at further enhancing and upgrading the port’s services and infrastructure. He also referred to the major investment projects currently being implemented at the Port of Piraeus, as well as the effective utilization of European funding instruments to accelerate large-scale infrastructure projects that will further strengthen the port’s competitiveness.
In addition, he emphasized the importance of enhanced European cooperation on key issues such as the green transition. He placed particular focus on the development of freight transportation across Europe, while promoting intermodal, sustainable and smart transport solutions.
