Airbus and GEK TERNA Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formalizing their cooperation in the delivery of advanced defence and space solutions, including military satellite communications and critical infrastructure resilience.
The agreement establishes a cooperation framework that combines Airbus’s advanced technologies and international expertise with GEK TERNA Group’s extensive experience in the execution of complex projects across infrastructure, energy, environmental services, digital technologies, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The aim is to fully leverage the complementary strengths of the two organisations.
It is further noted that the partnership seeks to actively contribute to the broader Greek industrial and digital ecosystem, as well as to facilitate knowledge transfer. Through this initiative, the two organisations aim to foster innovation, upgrade Greece’s capabilities, and support the development of a strong and competitive national ecosystem in defence, space, and infrastructure sectors. The initiative begins with the Military Satellite Programme, under which Airbus provides an advanced European solution designed to ensure security and national autonomy.
This represents a strategic partnership between Airbus and GEK TERNA Group, designed to deliver lasting positive outcomes for Greece’s industrial base. It aligns with GEK TERNA’s long-term objective of playing a leading role in sectors that strengthen national resilience and economic growth, while also supporting Airbus’s goal of reinforcing its two-decade presence and activity in Greece. Both parties are committed to leveraging new opportunities, driving technological progress, and contributing meaningfully to the country’s economic development.
