Two Greek-owned bulk carriers were among the first to transit the Strait of Hormuz, at a time when navigation in the region remains under heightened surveillance and operational uncertainty.

Specifically, the NJ Earth, sailing under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the Liberia Daytona Beach, flying the Liberian flag, successfully completed their passage through the critical maritime chokepoint, according to vessel tracking data from Diaplous.

This development comes amid a period in which vessel transits remain limited and highly selective, with fleet operators continuously assessing risk levels and operational conditions across the wider Persian Gulf region.
