Greece announces government reshuffle

Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis on Friday announced a government reshuffle.

Margaritis Schinas will assume the role of Minister of Rural Development and Food, replacing Kostas Tsiaras.

Makarios Lazaridis has been appointed Deputy Minister of Rural Development, replacing Christos Kellas.

Evangelos Tournas has been named Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, replacing Yiannis Kefalogiannis.

According to Marinakis, the responsibilities previously held by Deputy Health Minister Dimitris Vartzopoulos will be distributed internally within the ministry.

The swearing-in of the new members of the government will take place on Saturday, April 4, at 11:00 at the Presidential Mansion, in the presence of the President of the Republic Constantine Tassoulas.
