Piraeus Port Authority has strengthened the first aid equipment of the Hellenic Coast Guard, as part of its ongoing contribution to enhancing safety and the protection of human life within port facilities.
In particular, Piraeus Port Authority donated seven portable defibrillators to the Hellenic Coast Guard, aiming to further enhance the operational readiness of its personnel and enable the immediate response to emergency incidents.
The defibrillators will be installed in service vehicles and motorcycles of the Hellenic Coast Guard, ensuring the prompt provision of first aid to citizens and visitors within port areas, whenever and wherever needed.
This initiative is fully aligned with the guidelines of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy for the modernization and upgrading of first aid equipment, reaffirming Piraeus Port Authority’s commitment to meaningfully supporting the enhancement of the Coast Guard’s operational resources.
The Authority emphasized that it recognizes the critical role of the Hellenic Coast Guard in safeguarding citizens, ensuring the safety of maritime transport, and maintaining the smooth operation of port facilities, and therefore remains firmly committed to actively supporting its mission.
