Alpha Omega Marine is advancing its own fleet renewal and expansion strategy, having secured contracts for the construction of four handysize dry bulk carriers.
These vessels, of the Green Dolphin-40 type (bulk carrier) with a capacity of approximately 40,000 dwt, will be built at Huatai Shipbuilding in China, with deliveries scheduled in 2027–2028. The newbuildings will be constructed to modern technical specifications, aiming for enhanced energy efficiency and compliance with the strictest environmental standards.
According to Managing Partner Thanos Pasialis, securing these shipbuilding slots represents a strategic move at a time when the availability of high-quality shipyard capacity remains particularly constrained.
Alpha Omega Marine has also expressed its intention to establish a long-term partnership with the Chinese shipyard.
