The Greek Supermarket Association has reassured consumers of adequate product availability and price stability in a statement issued against the backdrop of concerns arising from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
In particular, the Association noted that its members have proactively planned their orders and secured sufficient inventory levels, ensuring that consumers can access all essential Easter goods, with prices for branded consumer products remaining at pre-crisis levels.
According to the Association, supermarkets continue to place consumers at the forefront, consistently strengthening supply chains with the aim of safeguarding product availability and containing prices, both over time and during periods of heightened demand.
“The sector is closely monitoring developments and remains in continuous communication with all stakeholders across the supply chain, as well as with the competent authorities, to ensure the prompt management of any challenges, with a focus on market stability and consumer welfare,” the statement said.
