Antenna Greece announced an agreement for a subscription-based streaming platform with a Motor Oil Hellas Group company and Alter Ego Media, with the latter two joining its subsidiary ANT1+ as shareholders, it said on Thursday.
The approval of relevant authorities is pending.
According to a statement, ANT1+, the first Greek streaming platform by subscription developed by Antenna Greece with its global partners MBC and Fairfax, has registered a significant growth trajectory by systematically investing in exclusive content and technological innovation. The public’s response and the platform’s development to date confirm the Antenna Group’s strategic choice to create a strong Greek streaming proposal, it said.
Its collaboration with Alter Ego Media – the only listed mass media company in Greece – and the Motor Oil Hellas Group, a leading Greek business group with strong presence and investing activity, creates the conditions for the platform’s further expansion, it said.
