Intralot is proceeding with the change of its name and distinctive title, as well as the amendment of Article 1 of its Articles of Association, in accordance with the agenda of the extraordinary general meeting of the company’s shareholders scheduled for December 19, 2025.
This is essentially the next step of the new Bally’s Intralot corporate structure after the completion of the transaction for its merger.
As Nikos Nikolakopoulos, President Lotteries, Intralot, emphasized at the Greek Economic Summit 2025, of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, the Bally’s Intralot transaction was the biggest strategic step in Intralot’s history, establishing it as a global leader in the lottery and online gaming space. The next chapter for the consolidated corporate structure is more mature, stronger and marks a new beginning, not only for the company itself, but also for the entire technological and business sector in Greece. The new company aims to further expand its presence in the international lottery market, to conclude new contracts, and to develop B2C in markets beyond that of Great Britain, where it holds a leading share. In Greece, the new corporate structure plans to develop its technological headquarters and for this purpose will proceed with the recruitment of human resources with an emphasis on software engineers.
According to Nikolakopoulos, “we are creating a single, vertically integrated structure in the lottery and online gaming sector with a global perspective, resilience, technological excellence and presence in all forms of modern gaming in both regulated B2B and B2C markets with high growth potential.” He added that “as iGaming legislation evolves in the US, Europe, Latin America and other markets, there are significant opportunities in the B2C space. We can leverage Bally’s International Interactive’s strong presence in regulated markets such as the UK and Spain, along with its scalable and sustainable business model, to effectively enter additional licensed markets. Athens will become the main growth hub of the merged entity, bringing significant investment, jobs and strengthening Greece as a center of innovation, building on 30 years of experience in lottery engineering—integrating newly acquired digital talent and an advanced tool chain.”
Regarding Bally’s investment choice for Intralot and Greece, Nikolakopoulos focused on Intralot’s innovation and extroversion, the talent of the Greek human resources and the development path of the Greek market. He also added Intralot’s experience in the US to the positive elements due to its many years of experience in the American market which was based on two critical factors – trust and financial capacity for investments based on the high index of social offers through the company’s activity in the gambling market in the US states.
