Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized from Luxembourg on Monday evening that his party was the only political force in the country that never negotiated with the country’s European orientation.
He made the comment upon arrival at a special event in the Grand Duchy honoring the 40-year anniversary of the founding of the European People’s Party (EPP), the center-right grouping in Europe.
“In the face of populism, the European People’s Party must promote reason and political realism, as well as social solidarity,” he said.
