Greece comes in second, globally, among 47 countries in terms of the quality of its sea waters and services to bathers, with 519 beaches winning distinctions, the national entity for the international “Blue Flag” program announced this week.
For 2018, Greece has 12 percent of all beaches awarded the distinction, with northern Halkidiki prefecture topping destinations in the country.
