The Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA), chaired by Semiramis Palios, announced it had achieved its target of 4 million points at its interactive stand during Posidonia 2026, using art, gaming and environmental action to engage visitors.
Through the “Poseidon’s Challenge” initiative, participants unlocked tangible environmental commitments, including additional clean-up operations on remote islands, recycling bins for 50 schools, sea-themed murals and ocean literacy programmes for all primary schools in northern Evia.
Visitors also contributed to the creation of “Under the Same Sea”, an artistic installation focused on marine biodiversity by designer Marietta Karpathiou, which will later be transferred to HELMEPA’s headquarters.
