Intracom Defense (IDE) has been selected as the implementing agency and prime contractor for the NATO project on the standardization of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs).
The project, entitled “Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) Standardization: Current Status and Future Outlook”, aims to map the current state of play in the field of USV standardization and to formulate proposals to NATO to accelerate the relevant processes. It also envisages the submission of proposals for cooperation with Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) and industry.
For its execution, it collaborates with the Greek company Defence Standardization Advice P.C. (DEFSTAND), which operates in the field of interoperability and standardization management, as well as with ASTM International, an international organization for the development and distribution of technological standards.
