The role of marketplaces is crucial for the development of e-commerce in Greece.
According to Skroutz, one of the most popular marketplaces in Greece for 2025, the dynamics of e-commerce in our country is confirmed by the increase in the number of orders, which reaches 21% compared to 2024 and with the average order value exceeding 52 euros.
In particular, the turnover of businesses on Skroutz in 2025 recorded an average increase of 22%, with over 1,400 businesses breaking the 100 thousand euro threshold in annual turnover. Skroutz Plus members made an average of 18 purchases in 2025, with the total value of their purchases (avg) being five times higher than that of non-subscribers.
Skroutz emphasized that it is characteristic that the Plus member community trusts the platform for the majority of its needs, as their orders now represent 46% of its total order volume.
The use of the “Fulfilled by Skroutz (FBS)” service also had a significant impact on business growth. More specifically, more than 405 participating stores recorded an average increase in turnover of 41.2%, exclusively through FBS sales, compared to the corresponding stores that participated in the service last year.
Popular searches and categories with the greatest sales increase
The most popular search on Skroutz was mobile phones, followed by sneakers and athletic shoes.
The majority of sales increase was recorded in the categories “Health and Beauty” (22%), “Home and Garden” (21%), “Technology” (19%) and “Fashion” (12%).
