Bolivian President Evo Morales began a two-day official visit to Athens on Thursday, one of his rare exits from the land-locked South American country.
Morales addressed a crowd composed mostly of Greek government officials in the evening at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, where on several occasions he repeated his government’s support for the embattled Maduro regime in Venezuela.
He was greeted by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
The two men will again meet on Friday at Tsipras’ official office, with statements to the press to follow.
