Greek merchant shipping fleet fell in numbers and in volume in the first month of 2023. The Greek fleet fell 0.5% in numbers totaling 1,823 ships compared with the same period last year, after remaining unchanged in the same period in 2022/2021, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Wednesday.
The Greek fleet’s total capacity was 37,995,856 dwt in January, down 4.1% compared with January 2022, after an 1.9% decline recorded in the same period in 2022/2021.
