The Tsakos shipping group this month announced that it aims to significantly increase the number of container ships in its fleet, with recent reports pointing to a pending order at a Korean shipyard.
Currently, the listed Tsakos Energy Navigation company operates a variety of vessels, including tankers, bulkers, LNG carriers and 10 container ships.
The same reports referred to advanced talks with the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for the building of up to 12 container ships with a capacity of 2,800 teu each.
