Trade deficit up in May

Greece’s trade deficit increased by 12.5 percent in May, with the figure attributed to decreasing exports, the state-run statistic service (EL.STAT) announced on Friday.

Between January and May 2016, the trade deficit was up by 3.9 percent.

In absolute terms, the trade deficit reached 1.5 billion euros in May 2016. If petroleum products are excluded, then the figure for May is 8.2 percent.
