A government official in Athens on Friday afternoon dampened prospects that an agreement between Greece and its northern neighbor, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (fYRoM), to outline a resolution for the “name issue” was only days away.
The same unnamed official said it was the government in Skopje that is not ready, in the present phase, to proceed with a preliminary draft agreement ironed out by the two countries’ foreign ministers in Brussels over the past week.
