“For our group, it is one of the largest agreements we have signed so far. But this is secondary in relation to the reason for which it is being done and what it serves,” he noted.

Αlexandros Exarchou, CEO of Atlantic-See LNG Trade S.A. and president and CEO of Aktor Group, in statements to the director of naftemporiki.gr Michalis Psilos, stressed the benefits of the agreement signed in the context of the P-TEC Summit.

“For our group, it is one of the largest agreements we have signed so far. But this is secondary in relation to the reason for which it is being done and what it serves,” he noted.

As he emphasized, “the main thing today is that something is happening that essentially places the country in a better geopolitical position than Turkey. Because it closes the Turkish pipeline. (…) Erdogan wanted to get something – and he would have got it if he had agreed to do what we did – that is, to stop Russian gas and serve only US gas. He did not agree to do it, he lost the F-35s and he lost his geopolitical power.”

“Today he is losing the advantage he had because the Americans will transfer their gas through Greece. His geopolitical power is decreasing, in relation to the significant strengthening of Greek gas,” Exarchou underlined.
