Intracom Telecom, a company that produces high technology and integrated products (hardware and software), seeks to relocate to Greece, as 70% of its annual turnover comes from abroad.
Ioannis Poulos, who recently assumed the position of deputy general manager of Intracom Telecom’s operational services sector, pointed out to “Naftemporiki” that over the last 4 years the company’s footprint on the Greek market has not been what was expected.
“One of the main requests, when I assumed my new duties, was to reposition Intracom Telecom in the Greek market and to utilize our know-how, experience and solutions for the benefit of the country,’ he said.
The areas of interest of the company include, among others, broadband projects, smart solutions for municipalities, cyber security, cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, while through the Command and Control platform it has developed, it provides solutions in the field of protection.
“We are one of the largest solutions developers and system integrators in Greece having implemented a series of large projects at the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator, the Athens International Airport, the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator, the Hellenic Police, the Coast Guard, and telemedicine services and we are optimistic for more projects that are under evaluation process. Our comparative advantage is the high level of know-how, specialization and the ability to successfully complete the projects we undertake, a key feature of our philosophy, Developing Innovation – Delivering Excellence,” Poulos noted.
The deputy general manager of Intracom Telecom has held senior positions in the group since 2008 with main responsibilities in the development of the company in the Middle East, North and sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Europe. As he underlined “on average 70% of the company’s annual turnover comes from abroad. Especially in recent years, we have opened new markets in America and Australia, which will be added to the markets of Southern Europe, Eurasia, the Arabian Peninsula and Sub-Saharan Africa, where we have a multiple local presence. In this way, we contribute to the strengthening of the country’s export power.”
Intracom Telecom produces high technology “from-idea-to-market”. Its factories in Greece, Romania and Italy implement complete products starting from electronic components to final production. It develops and provides products and solutions to telephone operators, public authorities and large public and private enterprises.
