The strategic importance of the Port of Corfu as a major gateway to the Adriatic region was highlighted by the Corfu Port Authority during its participation in Posidonia 2026, the international maritime exhibition held in Athens.

During the event, Chief Executive Officer Dimitris Apergis presented the organization’s vision for further strengthening the port’s position, describing Corfu as the “Great Port of the Adriatic” and emphasizing its growing role in maritime transport, cruise operations and maritime tourism.

The Port Authority reiterated its commitment to the continued development of the port and to enhancing its role as a key maritime hub connecting Greece with the wider Adriatic region.

As part of discussions held at the Hellenic Ports Association pavilion, representatives of the port and maritime community also underscored the importance of cooperation, sustainable development and competitiveness as critical drivers for the future growth of the sector.
