Total purchases of materials and services by state-run hospital in the national healthcare system (ESY) exceeded two billion euros, a figure substantially higher than similar expenditures in previous years.
The figure is higher by 3.8 percent compared to 2017, with 69 percent dealing with purchases of pharmaceuticals and sanitary materials from private suppliers.
