One year ahead of the planned handover of its first residences, the Riviera Tower at the Ellinikon has reached its full height of 200 metres, marking a major construction milestone for Greece’s first residential skyscraper and the tallest building ever built in the country.
With the structural frame now complete, construction is moving to mechanical and electrical installations, interior fit-out and shared amenities, while the project remains on track for delivery in the summer of 2027. The 50-storey tower will comprise 171 residences and offer a range of facilities for residents, including a ground-floor lounge, swimming pools, a business centre, fitness areas and a tennis court.
Lamda Development Site Management Senior Director Vangelis Perperas said buyers who invested in the project from the outset have already seen the value of their properties appreciate. Around 60% of purchasers are from Greece, 30% are members of the Greek diaspora and the remaining 10% are international buyers, he said. Among the tower’s features are private swimming pools on every second floor.
Lamda Development describes Riviera Tower as Greece’s first “green” residential skyscraper, with a photovoltaic system designed to meet the energy needs of common areas, while the building is expected to obtain an international environmental certification. Speaking at Lamda Development’s annual general meeting earlier this week, Chief Executive Odysseas Athanasiou said construction had reached the 50th floor in line with schedule. He acknowledged some delays in mechanical, electrical and fit-out works but said France’s Bouygues, the tower’s main contractor, still considers completion and delivery by the summer of 2027 achievable.
