Stamatis Tsantanis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Seanergy Maritime Holdings, expressed strong admiration for the progress achieved by Chinese shipyards, both in terms of quality and capacity, in remarks to Chinese media on the sidelines of the Capital Link Singapore Maritime Forum.
The head of the Nasdaq-listed dry bulk company referred in particular to his recent visits to shipyards in China, noting that his company was “fully and positively impressed” by the quality, facilities, and scale of investments of Hengli Group.
He emphasized that Chinese shipyards have now reached a very high level, while their role in the renewal of the global dry bulk fleet is becoming increasingly significant.
