Velos Shipping continues its steady growth trajectory, expanding its fleet to 20 vessels following a new acquisition in the second-hand market.
According to shipbroking sources, the company controlled by Paschalis Diamantidis, through Velos Tankers, has acquired the MR2 tanker “UOG Kyma,” with a capacity of 45,000 dwt and built in 2011, for a consideration of 25.75 million dolalrs. Based on the same sources, the vessel’s valuation is estimated at approximately 22.4 million dollars. This marks the company’s fourth tanker acquisition in 2026, confirming its consistent investment strategy in the product tanker segment.
Following this addition, Velos Shipping now operates a fleet of 13 product tankers.
At the same time, the company maintains a presence in the dry bulk sector through Velos Dry, operating a fleet of seven bulk carriers, primarily post-panamax and kamsarmax vessels, most of which are Japanese-built.
