A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at jointly implementing educational actions and training programs that enhance digital skills and promote the understanding and utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, businesses and society was signed by the University of Piraeus and Google Greece.
In the context of the collaboration, the possibility of attending educational programs – in person and online – which will be addressed to students, academic and administrative staff of the University, is provided. The seminars will cover a wide range of topics around Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.
It is worth noting that, in October 2025, Google brought the most modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to Greek university students, aged 18 and over, completely free of charge. Through Gemini, Google aims to equip young people with basic AI skills and the most advanced models, so that they can excel in their studies and prepare for their entry into the future workforce. Students can sign up for the Google AI Pro Plan for 12 months for free and gain access to the best Artificial Intelligence tools.
This collaboration is part of the University of Piraeus’ strategy to enhance innovation, entrepreneurship and digital skills, as well as Google’s long-standing commitment to supporting the digital empowerment and education of citizens in Greece.
