A light earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded overnight (23.03 GMT) and pinpointed in a sea region 55 kilometers south, southwest of the Ionian island of Zakynthos – west of Athens. No damages were reported.
The wider area is known for its seismic activity.
