Four binding offers have been submitted for the long-term lease of Vouliagmeni Beach, one of the most popular organized beaches on the Athenian Riviera, the Hellenic Public Properties Company (ETAD) announced.
The four groups are:
- Fais Group
- Evergood, holding and investment company (of the CVC Group) and Gefsinus SA, interests of businessman Manolis Vavourakis
- REDS (Ellaktor group) and the company “Aegean Warehouses” (interests of the publisher of “Naftemporiki”, Giorgos Melisanidis).
- Air Canteen S.A.
The tender covers a 20-year lease, with the option to extend for an additional 10 years, of the fully organized and accessible beach in the Municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni. The property features 2,000 sq.m. of permitted building area, including the former Okeanis restaurant, a local landmark, and a 638.5-meter seafront.
The beach in Vouliagmeni attracts thousands of visitors year-round, welcoming 420,000 in 2024, with a daily capacity of 8,000. The beach’s natural setting, crystal-clear waters, and recreational facilities make it a cornerstone of the region’s tourism offering.
