Greek wine exports in 2015 remained stable, according to industry analysts, with exports still accounting for roughly 10 percent of the total domestic production.
In statements to “N”, analysts reiterated that the key for Greek producers is to further promote Greek wines’ specific characteristics abroad.
A negative development was a decrease in sales to Germany, although the overall balance was helped by increasing sales to the North American market.
In a bid to further promote Greek wines, the Enterprise Greece body, in cooperation with 80 Greek wineries, opted for a decidedly more high-profile participation at the 2016 Prowein exhibition in Dusseldorf.
