Greek startups: HeBAN stands by innovative companies

HeBAN, which was established as a non-profit association, currently has 70 members

The Hellenic Business Angel Network (HeBAN) has supported more than 10 start-ups over the past two years with funds that exceeded a total of 1 million euros, the organization said in a statement. More than 40 HeBAN members participated in these investments, with the network taking on the role of lead investor in several cases, while in other cases its members co-invested with Greek and international funds and other angel investors.

Among the companies HeBAN members have invested in are innovative and promising startups such as Aidplex, Athletopia, Campsaround, Caroo, Cordella, Jamjar, Moveo, Planet Foods, Pop, Swaplanet and Tourmie.

HeBAN, which was established as a non-profit association and represents Greece in the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) and the Global Business Angels Network (GBAN), currently has 70 members and is the evolution of the corresponding non-profit organization, which has worked for the training of Greek business angels and the development of the institution in Greece since 2015.
