Eurostat: Highest threats of poverty, social exclusion in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece

More than one-third of Greek citizens continue to be threatened by poverty and social exclusion, with one-fifth of residents in the country also facing problems in paying for basic heating and electricity needs, according to a Eurostat survey this week.

The trend comes even as energy consumption in the country continues to increase.

EU-wide, the threat of poverty and social exclusion is highest in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece.
