Greek statistics authority revises econ growth for 2017, from 1.4% to 1.5%

The Greek economy grew by 1.5 percent in 2017, revised from a previous assessment of 1.4 percent made last March, according to Greece’s statistics authority on Wednesday.

The revised, upwards, figure was due to increased consumer spending, EL.STAT reported.

 As such, Greece’s GDP for 2017 was estimated at 179.14 billion euros.
