The independent public revenues authority is ready to again offer taxpayers with arrears to the Greek state the opportunity to pay off the outstanding amount in up to 24 installments, in some cases, with legal hurdles reportedly overcome.
The development is seen as welcome relief for taxpayers that took advantage of a similar scheme, but who subsequently failed to keep up with the installments – usually owed to the tax bureau, but also to social insurance funds and the customs service.
