Greece’s general counsul to Venezuela was found dead in a Caracas hotel room this week, according to the local daily “El Nacional”.
The first reports said the death of 55-year-old Angelos Haritos was due to a cerebral enema caused by a heart attack.
Greece’s foreign ministry announced that an official cause of death is pending.
No indications of foul play were initially reported.
