A competition watchdog in Greece has imposed two fines worth more than 27.5 million euros on Elais-Unilever Hellas over violations stemming from its retail and wholesale supply of margarine in the domestic market.
The fines on the multinational’s Greek subsidiary were imposed unanimously by members of regulatory committee’s members, and come after an investigation into unfair practices, specifically, discounts linked with supply contracts that included a clause not to promote rivals’ products on supermarkets’ shelves.
