The body of a 29-year-old French woman missing on Crete since June 24 was located on Thursday at the bottom of gorge, near Cape Krios, some five kilometers from the well-known beach of Elafonissi.
A civil defense unit located the life-less body of Violet Gigano after an intensive search of the remote area.
An autopsy is now pending to ascertain the exact circumstances of death.
