Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader continued his visit to the island republic of Cyprus on Friday, where he was received in Nicosia by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades.
The ND leader expressed his confidence and absolute support, as he said, to Anastasiades’ efforts to solve the Cyprus problem.
The center-right Greek political leader, who is leading in opinion polls ahead elections this year, also referred to the significant economic reforms achieved by the Cypriot government, particularly annual in terms of annual growth rates.
In comparing Cyprus’ robust economic performance to situation back in Athens, Mitsotakis said “significant damage has been done to Greece over the past four years”, a direct criticism of the Tsipras government.
