Greece’s statistics authority on Tuesday reported lower Greek state revenues, higher expenditures as well as an external debt burdening the country that reached 317.407 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2017.
The same debt figure in the corresponding quarter of 2016 was 315 billion euros, according to figures released by EL.STAT.
General government revenues posted a marginal decrease in Q4 2017, reaching 25.243 billion euros, down from 25.573 billion in Q4 2016.
In terms of spending, total expenditures by the general government reached 25.592 billion in the specific quarter, up from 25.397 billion euros during the last quarter of 2016. Of the figure, 24.164 billion euros corresponded to primary spending.
