Int’l flights in Greece up 32% in March 2018, compared to same month in 2017

Air traffic to Greece increased by 30.9 percent in March 2018, with the total number of passengers passing through Greek airports in the first quarter of the year reaching 6.285 million, up 5.9 percent from the corresponding period in 2017.

In absolute terms, just more than 350,000 more passengers passed through the country’s airports in Q1 2018, compared to the same quarter of 2017.

The number of flights during the same period reached 61,688, of which 34,669 were domestic and 27,019 overseas.

Specifically for March 2018, figures released by Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority show an increase of 10.6 percent in passenger traffic, or 2.443 million.
