The increasingly global “footprint” of the Costa Navarino resort in extreme southeast Greece, now considered as the best-known large-scale resort in the country, is boosting the tourism sector in the entire prefecture where it is located, in Messinia prefecture.
Another sports-related event at the resort will, for instance, attract another 4,500 from visitors from around the world in the coming days, three weeks before the first “high-demand” season of the year, Easter.
Specifically, the Ironman 70.3 competition will be held in Costa Navarino on April 14, which follows the Messinia Pro-Am golf tournament at the resort, where participants included Hollywood star Bill Murray and rugby player Mike Tindall.
