OPAP proposes dividend of 0.40€ per share

The board of OPAP, Greece’s biggest lottery and sports betting pools provider, on Wednesday said it will propose a 0.40-euro dividend payment to shareholders at an upcoming general assembly.

With a 0.17-euro dividend already approved and disbursed, if passed, stockholders will now receive 0.23 euros per share.

EBITDA increased by 8.8 percent to 377.1 million euros.

Net profits reached 210.7 million euros, an increase of 8.1 percent. Nevertheless, net profits for Q4 decreased by 32.1 percent, or 51.7 million euros, primarily due to the payment of a 15-million-euro licensing fee for the lottery concession.

Meanwhile, the Council of State will hear a petition by OPAP against a decision to slap a further tax per gaming columns on pools offered by OPAP.
