Alpha Bank reported after-tax profits of 53 million euros in 2018, up from 21.1 million in 2017. Just as importantly, the Athens-based systemic lender said its goal is to reduce NPEs by 14.3 billion euros by 2021.
In Q4 2018, NPEs were cut by 500 million euros, while the bank also sold-off three NPL portfolios in 2018, with a total value of three billion euros and corresponding to non-serviced capital and interest of seven billion euros.
Deposits reached 38.7 billion euros by the end of December 2018, up by 3.8 billion on an annual basis.
