Greece’s clothing industry remains growth-oriented amid multiple challenges and an emphasis on extroversion.
With revenues exceeding 300 million euros, the top 5 Greek companies, in contrast to the course of the European fashion industry, have reportedly been able to maintain the positive sign in the course of sales this year. Despite the spread of ultra-fast fashion, Greek industries manage to maintain their momentum, having a significant boost from tourist turnover, the participation of which is estimated at 20-30%, while they are expanding their presence on international markets with targeted moves.
The first company in the ranking, the B&F group, which operates under the BSB & Lynne brands, ended 2024 positively, with revenues amounting to 104.2 million euros, up 3%, while pre-tax profitability amounted to 11.3 million euros, up 7.6% compared to 2023.
The management’s aim remains to strengthen the domestic presence by expanding the store network in key commercial locations. At the same time, extroversion continues to be a strategic priority. The company already has a presence, in collaboration with exclusive representatives, in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, as well as in the Benelux countries – markets with particularly high demands in terms of quality and design of clothing. In addition, opportunities continue to be explored and partnerships developed in the markets of the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Asian countries, regions that are experiencing high growth rates. At the same time, the management plans to utilize the franchising method, focusing on markets such as Central and Southern Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Asian countries. Emphasis is also placed on the development of the wholesale network, which is being strengthened with new partnerships.
