Cyprus will be at the center of the maritime industry as part of the Maritime Cyprus 2025, according to Cyprus’ Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs Marina Hadjimanolis.

This year’s conference, to be held between October 6-8, with the central theme “Unlocking the Future…of Shipping”, will take place in a period of challenges and opportunities for shipping.
Hadjimanolis noted that shipping is one of the most important pillars of development of the Cypriot economy and that it requires flexibility “so that we can adapt quickly to new data and maintain our competitiveness.”

“Our goal, and this is a priority of the government, is to further strengthen the Cyprus registry and the shipping complex in Cyprus”, noted the Deputy Minister, adding that “this is pursued through targeted policies to attract new ships to the Cyprus registry and the establishment of new companies in Cyprus, the simplification of procedures, the strengthening of safety on Cypriot ships, the quality of the services provided, as well as the exploitation of innovation and digital transformation.”
