EuroDry Ltd., owned by Aristides Pittas, has announced the sale of the M/V Eirini P., a 76,466 dwt dry bulk carrier built in 2004.
The vessel will be delivered to the buyer in October 2025 for approximately 8.5 million dollars.
The company’s chairman and CEO stated that the agreement is part of the fleet renewal program, as the Eirini P. is one of the company’s three oldest vessels and the longest in service. The transaction is expected to generate a gain of approximately 0.6 million dollars, or 0.21 dollars per share.
As announced, the net proceeds will enhance EuroDry’s liquidity and financial flexibility, facilitating the acquisition of more modern, efficient and environmentally friendly vessels.
