Piraeus Bank: Series of meetings with investors in the US

Piraeus Bank’s management traveled to the US last week and held meetings with over 60 investment fund managers in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The first stop of the Piraeus management team was the UBS Global Emerging Markets conference, as “N” had reported, on September 3-4, where it held meetings with the largest fund managers in the city, including J.P. Morgan AM, Lazard, Millenium, American Century, Morgan Stanley IM.

Next stops were Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco, where it held bilateral meetings with new investors who, according to sources, expressed special interest in both the country’s economic acceleration and the bank itself. According to the same sources, in the context of the meetings, the bank’s management presented recent trends, as well as the bank’s business goals for the period from the end of 2025 onwards.

For this reason, investors’ interest was strong both in credit expansion and in the generation of income from commissions, with a focus on asset management and bancassurance, which are expected to be increased after the acquisition of Ethniki Insurance, confirming a previous report by “N”.
