The Ministry of Development is promoting twelve interventions to improve the business environment and remove administrative burdens as part of efforts to create new businesses and attract large investments.

The specific interventions were presented at the meeting of the Government Economic Policy Council by the responsible Minister Takis Theodorikakos focusing on changing the country’s production model, with emphasis on the manufacturing sector. In this context, there is close cooperation with the Hellenic Federation of Entreprises (SEV), which provides the Ministry of Development with data for improving the business environment.

In the coming period, there will be relevant legislative initiatives, while the Ministry of Development and the co-responsible ministries will examine the institutional framework in order to remove as many obstacles as possible. However, in addition to the first package of interventions, in the second year there will be another 31 new initiatives in the same direction.
