The badly decomposed bodies of two people were found in an abandoned village in the Alexandroupolis border district over the weekend. The site was identified as the Potamos settlement inside a building used by a cultural association for events two or three times a year.
Authorities said evidence of a struggle were found.
No documents or personal effects were found on the victims, described as a man and a woman between the ages of 35 and 40.
Police believe the pair are irregular migrants whose cause of death is homicide.
