Badly decomposed bodies of two people discovered in abandoned border village

The badly decomposed bodies of two people were found in an abandoned village in the Alexandroupolis border district over the weekend. The site was identified as the Potamos settlement inside a building used by a cultural association for events two or three times a year.

Authorities said evidence of a struggle were found.

No documents or personal effects were found on the victims, described as a man and a woman between the ages of 35 and 40.

Police believe the pair are irregular migrants whose cause of death is homicide.
